A derelict vehicle is any motor vehicle that is abandoned, unlicensed, stripped of parts, or poses a health or environmental risk to the community. This includes vehicles that are:

Vehicle owners are required to dispose of derelict vehicles at an approved site (e.g., Deglos Sanitary Landfill). Disposal may be free of charge at designated facilities.
If a vehicle is abandoned, unlicensed, stripped of parts, or poses a health or environmental risk, an authorized officer will issue a removal notice to the owner.
The official notice is affixed to the vehicle in a visible location, informing the owner of the required action.
The owner has seven (7) days from the date of notice to remove the vehicle.
If the vehicle is not removed within the timeframe, the authorities will arrange for its removal. Failure to comply may result in a fine of up to EC $5,000.
The owner is liable for all removal costs, which may be recovered as a judgment debt with 6% annual interest from the date of removal.
