Department Mission
The Information & Communication Department serves as the primary vehicle for implementing SLSWMA's public education mandate, working to build awareness, change behaviors, and foster community engagement in sustainable waste management practices across Saint Lucia.
Community Outreach
Through targeted outreach programs, the department engages directly with schools, community groups, businesses, and residents to deliver practical education on waste reduction, proper disposal methods, and environmental stewardship.

Resource Development
Design and produce educational materials including brochures, guides, videos, and digital content that provide practical information on waste management best practices.
Community Events
Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and cleanup initiatives that promote environmental awareness and demonstrate sustainable waste management practices.
Behavior Change Initiatives
Implement evidence-based behavior change programs that encourage adoption of environmentally responsible waste management practices at individual and community levels.
Stakeholder Engagement
